Born in Rome in 1971, Francesca has worked as a journalist for La Stampa since July 2000. Her professional interests are immigration, human rights, and women rights. She graduated in Modern Art in Rome with a thesis on German theatre. She holds a European Masters in Multimedia Communications and a postgraduate Masters in Peacekeeping at Torino University. She has been following Middle East affairs for some time, and has recently started to learn Arabic. Francesca finds the idea of a network of Visionaries developing international thinking about other possible worlds, born from reality instead of utopia, compelling and engaging. In her free time Francesca travels, reads anything from escapist literature to geopolitical magazines; she also loves movies and theatre, but most of all enjoys discussing the changing world and its inhabitants with friends and a good glass of red wine.
