Marco holds a Laurea in Architettura from University of Florence. Previously at ERVET S.p.A., the Emilia Romagna Region Development Agency, he has managed various projects in the fields of local development, information society and territorial governance. He is Vice President of GIS_L.A.B., an Academic spin off (from University of Florence) working on GIS system supporting public decision makers building development policies. He is still envolved in research activities at the University of Florence.
Marco is a member of INU (National Institute of Urbanistica)
He's now working at FORMEZ (National Agency supporting public administration) in the unit: "Public Administration, Enterprises, Markets".
During his career at FORMEZ Marco has projected and managed a lot of international events and was the responsible from the IFOR-SFOR Headquarters in Sarajevo and the mission in Doboj ad Tuzla from 1995 to 1997. From 1995 to 1997 he was member of President Romano Prodi's staff. He plays basketball and is a fan of Fortitudo Bologna Team. He usually listen to Pynk Floyd, Dire Straits, U2, R.E.M. music and Mozart too.
He try to read as much as he can.
